5-Day Safari Sand & Ocean Shores
A longer beach retreat with a shorter safari option suits the needs of some of our guests who are planning a first-time or repeat bush and beach trip to the East African coastline in Kenya. You can then spend a few days on the beachfront. Then, you will journey to parks and reserves like Tsavo for two nights for safari game driving, village visits, nature walks, hiking and other wilderness activities before returning to your seaside hotel for the remaining vacation period.

Day 1: Nairobi to Tsavo West National Par
. Scenic drive from Nairobi (approx. 6-7 hours)

. Visit Mzima Springs to see hippos and crocodiles
Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport. Enjoy a scenic drive to Tsavo West National Park, famous for its red elephants and legendary man-eating lions. Upon arrival, embark on an en-route game drive as you head to your lodge for lunch. Later, visit Mzima Springs, where you can view crocodiles and hippos swimming underwater. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

Day 2: Explore Tsavo West National Park
Visit the Shetani Lava Flows, a dramatic black volcanic expanse formed over 500 years ago.
Explore the Ngulia Valley Rhino Sanctuary, home to the rare and endangered black rhinos.
Encounter big cats, elephants, giraffes, kudu, and more as you navigate the vast savannah.
Spot bird species like the golden-breasted starling and tawny eagle.
Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 3: Tsavo West to Diani Beach
Kickstart the day with an early morning game drive at Mzima Springs, where you’ll witness hippos and crocodiles in the pristine spring waters that originate from Mount Kilimanjaro.
After breakfast, check out and enjoy a short game drive en route to Voi or Mtito Andei train station, where you’ll board a train bound for Mombasa. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to Diani Beach, one of Kenya’s most stunning coastal destinations.
Arrive at your beachfront resort in the early evening, check-in, and unwind as you soak in the breathtaking ocean views.
Day 4: Dolphin Adventure at Wasini Island

. Snorkeling and dolphin watching
. Traditional seafood lunch
Leave early for a magical Wasini Island dolphin adventure. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush coconut and cashew nut farms before boarding a glass-bottom dhow. Explore Kisite Marine Park, Kenya’s top snorkeling site, and marvel at its vibrant marine life. A seafood feast awaits before returning to your resort in Diani.

Day 5: Departure - Diani to Nairobi

. Transfer to Nairobi (via flight or road)
Spend your morning at leisure, soaking up the sun or taking a last walk along Diani’s pristine shores. Later, transfer back to Nairobi, marking the end of your adventure.
